• Pixel formats: Grayscale 1, 2, 4, 8, 16 bits/pixel. Palette 1, 2, 4, 8 bits/pixel. RGB 8, 16 bits/pixel. Uninterlaced or Adam7 interlaced supported.

• Notes: The 'super optimise' sub-format when writing makes a difference only for 24-bit images where it uses a much slower, but in the end more rewarding, algorithm for finding the best 'filtering' of each scan line in the image resulting in smaller files. Note that this filtering is a loss-less filter that is 'reversed' when loading an image.
